I am not a mom. But I’ve seen my friends become mothers and struggle to maintain friendships with old friends. Friendships are organic and they are meant to change.
Would love to have you comment on my latest post as well, the other side of this issue – from a single girl : https://rinsebeforeuse.wordpress.com/2016/09/22/friendshifts-from-bffs-to-coffee-friends/

I totally agree that friendships are organic, and I’m sure that my girlfriends who aren’t mothers noticed a change in me once I became one, BUT, because I value my time away from the kids (I’m a stay-at-home mom), I do make a concerted effort to meet them for dinner or drinks regularly, if not frequently. They knew me before I was mom, so it feels good to put on that old identity and talk about non-mom stuff. (Although I definitely still talk about my kids!)
