I’m a firm believer that everyone should eliminate unnecessary chores to make more room to do the stuff that really needs to be done and to have more time for rest and play. Sterilizing baby bottles is a waste of time, and I’m spreading the word here.

I’m guilty of calling myself “Mommy” when talking directly to my kids. Instead of saying, “I’ll get that for you,” I say, “Mommy will get that for you.” I call it Jimmy Talk in honor of a character in a classic episode of the show “Seinfeld.” Are you a Jimmy Talker, too? Here’s why I think we do it.
